Can't use email binding component to send emails

gabriel
This post has NOT been accepted by the mailing list yet.
I have a CA that was created with OpenESB 2.3, which received a subject, a body and a few destination emails and sent them an email through smtp. I followed the tutorial over at http://www.logicoy.com/wikilogicoy/Wiki.jsp@page=EmailBC.QuickStart.html

I set my smpt config directly in my email-bound WSDL. As I said, this used to work with OpenESB 2.3.

However when deployed on OpenESB SE (3.0.1), it throws some exception as it is somehow trying to connect to localhost through smtp protocol regardless of what I've configured on the WSDL. This is the Log it's throwing (with finest setting):

As you can see in the first lines it is indeed reading my config ([MYSERVER], I replaced this for security reasons) but it is somehow trying to use localhost as the server.

I think now this might be a bug, I just created a project from scratch, tried creating an EMAIL-BC based BPEL, and had the same problem. Somehow my smtp server variable is getting replaced by localhost throughout the process, thus failing to send any e-mails.

Hi Gabriel,

Please fill a ticket in JIRA with an attached project to reproduce the issue.

Thanks a lot.

Hope it can be addressed soon.

Would gladly do it but I don't have permissions on your JIRA.

In the meantime I've uploaded it here:
https://mega.co.nz/#!GIcGAThL!RSdi2NOxCrnzOeMVnTyaNx_1SEmiq3_WEX4nY03a7ic

If you try to run the test case it will say it was successful but in the OpenESB log you'll see there's an exception on trying to connect to localhost on port 25.

Thanks David. I just tried with version 3.0.4 and it works. Was the issue resolved between these versions then? Can we confirm there was a bug in previous releases? Same CA with the same version of java mail still crashes with 3.0.1.

Ok good !

We have just included the mail API in 3.0.4, nothing more…
I think you’ve probably added a bad version.

So can I close the ticket ?

Hi,

I had retested with mail-1.4.7.jar and resolved.

Thanks.
